As you've heard by now, the Democrats controlling the US Senate all voted in favor this morning of ObamaCare and its push to control one-sixth of our nation's economy.  Michigan Senators Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin gleefully voted in favor of this abomination.

For many of us, there is utter frustration resulting from the realization that Deb & Carl could care less what their voters back home think - let along care a wit the impact of such legislation.  They realize it will provide hereto unforeseen opportunities to take further control over the lives of every US citizen.  Once they control your health, they effectively control everything - including their own re-elections.  Or at least that's their working theory.

They assume once we're all over the initial shock, we'll simply shrug our shoulders and accept the new reality.  Government bureaucrats will get between us and our doctors (if and when we get to see a doctor) and we will have to settle for whatever government-approved treatments they prescribe. 

Our health care costs will sky-rocket while the quality of care will plummet and our children and grandchildren will be left with a soon-to-be-bankrupt nation.  After all, Social Security and the existing Medicare programs are already on the verge of implosion.  Now we have a brand new massive and incomprehensibly expensive entitlement in addition to those Ponzi schemes.  Do the math folks.  If we stay on our current path, America's best days are indeed behind her.

But there actually is something more we can do besides sending emails, faxes, and making phone calls to obstinate and oblivious Washington politicians.  In many states, including the once-great state of Michigan, its politicians - including US Senators - can be RECALLED.

It would be a massive undertaking to gather enough signatures to force a statewide recall election - but it could be done.

I assure you, nothing would get Deb & Carl's attention quicker than the very real threat of recall.  Given their unacceptable positions on ObamaCare, Cap-N-Tax, Card Check and countless other policy issues, there have to be enough registered voters still in Michigan mad enough to sign a recall petition.

It's time we remind Washington politicians like Stabenow and Levin that they work for us - not the other way around.  Let's send that message loud and clear.
