RightCuz Strategy for John McCain

Unlike the McCain campaign, we here at RightCuz have not given up on Michigan or the Midwest.

Given the success of last night's debate for Governor Palin and given her desire to continue to battle in Michigan, we here at RightCuz are respectfully asking the McCain campaign to "Let Sarah Be Sarah" here in Michigan and throughout the Midwest.

Specifically, we would like to see the McCain campaign allow Governor Palin to spend the rest of the campaign in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Minnesota.  Outside of Alaska Governor Palin is probably more popular here in the upper Midwest than any other area of the country and the reason is simple:  she grew up like us, she hunts like us and she even talks like us.  Her value system and experiences are very similar to those of us in the "Great Lakes Region".  She has a common sense main street approach that is severely needed in Washington D.C.

In short, Governor Sarah Palin is one of us.

Bring Sarah back to the Midwest!

I now where you guys are coming from! I used to write letters to Erin Moran hoping against all hopes that she would leave that Chachi character. She was so much better than him, and he was always bringing the show down by ...well..

    BEING THERE!

This is another reason I like Sarah Palin even more. She knows how hard our struggle here is in this Democrat controlled state with its powerful, pro-Obama and pro-Democrat unions.

There's some help coming for supporters of the McCain/Palin ticket in Michigan.

The fight for Michigan is far from over, the details of a new push to defeat Obama/Biden in the Great Lake State can be found here:

P.S. I grew up in Brighton, MI and my sister went to MSU. Our Chairman grew up in Michigan and still does work with Hillsdale College. Our Chief Strategist's son attended U of M.

We're determined to see Michigan go for McCain/Palin on November 4th and look forward to working with all of you to make this happen!!

I hunt. I fish. My father never finished high school. He hunted. He fished. And I can tell you he'd be beyond insulted by the patronizing way the GOPs are marketing Palin to us.

Rome is burning and she's winking and throwing rehearsed "doggoneits" out there and smiling and waving like a beauty queen and not giving a remote hint of any substance or any depth that will help our country in its most trying hour in several generations.

But that's your answer: more Palin! More winks! More "doggonits!" Why? Because we're stupid and will vote for that ticket for those reasons.

There's a reason McCain is pulling out of Michigan: our citizens aren't as stupid as Karl Rove thinks.

Sorry Bill, your comments ring hollow for me.

First of all you cite Karl Rove, but must be ignorant of the fact that Karl Rove was NOT pushing for Palin to be picked. Not sure if you knew that or not.

Second, I've fished all across Michigan. Not very well, but that didn't stop me from having fun plucking out perch from Woodland Lake or getting my sinkers stuck on rocks at the bottom of Lake Michigan. I think Sarah Palin's great. I also rode snowmobiles as a kid.

So what does your hunting and fishing and my fishing and snowmobiling have to do with anything? Nothing.

Palin got her 80%+ approval rating because she served the people, as she says, "with a servant's heart." She took on corruption without regard to party.

She's a straight-shooting patriotic American who has fought to make America a better place to live.

If you honestly think that Barack Obama - who has only ever sought to bring glory TO HIMSELF - can hold a candle to Gov. Sarah Palin, then you and I have such a different worldview that there isn't much point to a discussion.

Palin's approval rating in Alaska is irrelevant. Alaska has some unique aspects that make it like shooting fish in a barrel: 1) anyone not in jail or being investigated automatically gets a boost in the polls there 2) government money being thrown at its citizens pretty much akin to what Indian casinos do to with their constituents.

Palin is no fiscal conservative. The little town she mayored saw its spending and debt skyrocket under her watch.

I agree with you that hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling has nothing to do with anything. That's my point: the GOP is treating us like we're stupid by making those irrelevant things the centerpiece of marketing Palin to us.

But I understand why they do that, as everytime Palin talks specifically about policy--whether she's saying we might have to go to war with Russia, digging up Civil War generals and putting them in Iraq, or saying "I'll get back to you" on what it is McCain is or stands for, she's a policy trainwreck.
